Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to RheumaPreg 2027 in Rotterdam.
Over the past decades, the field of reproductive rheumatology has transformed the care of women and men with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. Pregnancy is no longer approached with uncertainty alone, but with evidence, experience, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Yet important questions remain unanswered. Reproductive health extends far beyond pregnancy — it encompasses fertility, sexual health, paternal factors, menopause, metabolic health, and the long-term wellbeing of the next generation.
With this year’s congress theme, “Reproductive Rheumatology Across the Life Course,” we aim to expand the boundaries of our discipline. We will explore how inflammation, immunity, hormones, and metabolism interact across different life stages — in women and in men. We will address topics that have traditionally received limited attention, including male reproductive health, menopause, sexual health, obesity, novel therapies, and the developmental origins of health and disease (DOHaD). At the same time, we remain firmly grounded in clinical excellence, discussing high-risk pregnancies, safety data, and multidisciplinary care.
RheumaPreg has always been characterized by open dialogue, scientific rigor, and collaboration across specialties. We hope this meeting continues that tradition — bringing together rheumatologists, obstetricians, obstetric medicine specialists, immunologists, endocrinologists, researchers, allied health professionals, and patient representatives to shape the future of reproductive care in rheumatic diseases.
Rotterdam, a city known for innovation and resilience, provides a fitting setting for a congress that seeks to redefine and broaden our field. We look forward to three days of stimulating discussions, new insights, and meaningful connections.
Thank you for joining us. We wish you an inspiring and rewarding congress.
